Taken with food, usually in the morning.

Administered as an injection by a healthcare professional, or exactly as trained if self-administering.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is nearly time for the next one — in that case skip the missed dose. Never take a double dose to make up for a forgotten one.

Like all medicines, this product can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. The more commonly reported effects include insomnia, mood change, raised blood sugar, increased appetite.

Most mild effects settle as your body adjusts. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if any side effect persists, worsens, or troubles you.

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience signs of a serious allergic reaction — a widespread rash, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, difficulty breathing, or a sudden drop in blood pressure.

Long courses require tapering and carry significant metabolic effects. Follow the schedule exactly.

Before starting treatment, tell your prescriber about all medicines and supplements you take, any allergies, and any liver, kidney or heart conditions. Mention if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.

Keep veterinary medicines away from children and never administer a product intended for one species to another without veterinary advice.

Medicines can affect how each other work. Tell your doctor or pharmacist about everything you take, including prescription medicines, over-the-counter remedies, herbal products and supplements.

Be particularly careful to mention blood thinners, medicines for heart rhythm or blood pressure, antidepressants, other treatments in the same class, and anything affecting the liver enzymes that process medicines. Alcohol can intensify side effects such as drowsiness and dizziness.

Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack. Return unused or expired medicines to a pharmacy for safe disposal rather than putting them in household waste or wastewater.
