Prescibe works with prescribers to get patients their medicines quickly, affordably and safely. This page covers how to send prescriptions to us and what to expect.

Sending a prescription

  • Electronic prescribing — send to our pharmacy through your e-prescribing system. Contact us for our routing details.
  • Secure fax — on practice letterhead with your signature and registration number.
  • Patient upload — your patient can upload a written prescription; we verify it with you directly where needed.

What we need

Patient full name and date of birth, medicine, strength, dose form, quantity, directions, refills authorised, your name and registration number, and the date. Incomplete prescriptions delay dispensing because we must contact you.

Verification

We verify prescriptions before dispensing and may contact you to confirm details, clarify directions, or discuss a clinically significant interaction. We aim to keep these contacts brief and batched.

Substitution

Unless you indicate otherwise, we may dispense a therapeutically equivalent generic. Mark the prescription accordingly if you require the brand as written.

What we do not dispense

We do not supply controlled substances through this platform. Please direct those prescriptions to a pharmacy registered to handle them.

Cost conversations

Cost is a common reason patients do not start or continue treatment. Our unit pricing is published on every product page so you can discuss options with your patient before they leave your consultation.
