This policy explains what information Prescibe collects, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. It covers our website, mobile experience and customer support channels.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, phone number and password (stored only as a cryptographic hash, never in readable form).
- Order information — shipping and billing addresses, items purchased, and order history.
- Health information — prescriptions you upload, prescriber details, and any allergy or medication notes you give our pharmacy team.
- Payment information — handled directly by our payment processors. Full card numbers never reach our servers; we retain only the last four digits and card type for your records.
- Technical information — IP address, browser type, device and pages viewed, used to keep the service secure and working correctly.
How we use your information
We use your information to verify prescriptions, dispense and deliver orders, take payment, provide customer support, meet our legal and pharmacy record-keeping duties, detect fraud, and — where you have consented — send marketing communications and measure site performance.
Health information and confidentiality
Prescription and health information is treated as confidential. It is accessible only to licensed pharmacy staff and the support personnel who need it to fulfil your order. We do not sell health information, and we never share it with advertisers or data brokers.
When we share information
We share information only with: licensed pharmacies and prescribers involved in dispensing your order; shipping carriers (name and delivery address only); payment processors; technology providers who host and secure the platform under contract; and regulators or law enforcement where the law requires it. Every provider is bound by confidentiality obligations.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and hold your basket. Performance, functional and advertising cookies are used only with your consent. Change your choices any time on the Cookie Preferences page.
Data retention
Prescription and dispensing records are retained for the period required by pharmacy law in the jurisdiction of dispensing. Account and order records are kept while your account is open and for the statutory period afterwards. You can ask us to close your account at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. Contact support@prescibe.com and we will respond within the period the law allows. We will never discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Security
We protect data with encryption in transit, encryption of sensitive fields at rest, Argon2id password hashing, strict access controls, audit logging of staff activity, and regular security review.
Children
Our service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information. Parents and guardians may order products for a child in their care.
